PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES CHANGES IN THE SENIOR RANKS OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE

Ottawa, Ontario
Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service:
Michelle d'Auray, currently Deputy Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, becomes Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, effective August 6, 2007.
Guy Mc Kenzie, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, becomes Deputy Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, effective August 6, 2007.
Paul Boothe, currently a Professor of Economics at the University of Alberta, becomes Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Industry, effective July 1, 2007.
Suzanne Vinet, currently Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Policy Branch, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Health, effective July 16, 2007.
Neil Yeates, currently Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Products and Food Branch, Health Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, effective July 16, 2007.
The Prime Minister took the opportunity to thank Larry Murray, the outgoing Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, for his dedication to the Public Service and for his excellence in serving Canadians over the years, and to wish him a rewarding retirement.
