Public events for Prime Minister Stephen Harper for Saturday, December 9th are:

6:00 pm – Prime Minister Stephen Harper will attend the Lighting of Canada’s Tallest Christmas Tree and will make brief remarks. He will be joined by his daughter Rachel, and Cheryl Gallant, Member of Parliament for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.

Note: All media attending should position behind the stage at the base of the Christmas tree at 5:30pm. Also, there is no separate parking area for media so you will be required to park in the main parking lot of the resort.

He will be accompanied by the Minister of the Environment, Rona Ambrose, the Minister of Health and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario, Tony Clement and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment, Mark Warawa.
